Description: Completed for my senior thesis project, the Iris Gladius Recovery Center is a treatment center for adolescent women battling eating disorders. The design goal behind this project was to combine elements of hospitality with health care design in order to achieve a facility that can offer all of the benefits of a health care institution without the intimidation that is often tied to health care facilities. Including amenities typically found in hospitality settings, this space prioritizes the restoration of patients' mental health rather than only focusing on their physical appearance.
